Mr. Ranjan Biswas (M.Sc.) -
Managing Director, Trailblazers
He is a post graduate in Animal Physiology from
University of Mumbai ranking 3rd and holds a diploma
in Animal Management and captive breeding in zoos from
Jersey Wildlife Preservation Trust, U.K. He worked
under the legendary late Sir Gerald Durrel. He is
certified in Environment education and public action
and was trained in Israel at the invitation of MASHAV
(Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Israel). He is an
associate Environment Auditor ISO 14000.
After his academics he joined WWF India looking after
the Western region first as Education Officer and then
worked as Deputy Director. Conceived the first ever
Environment Education Center at Dharavi-the Mahim
Nature Park now known as Maharashtra Nature park. The
park was designed by WWF- India with inputs from US
Fish & Wildlife and constructed by MMRDA. The park has
now been handed over to the state government.
He was on the Advisory board of the Mumbai Municipal
corporation zoological gardens (Rani Baug) and also
conceived the education center at Nhava Sheva for
CIDCO.
He left WWF- India to start TRAILBLAZERS - the
nation’s first EVE Company in the private sector. He
has put over 1,50,000 students, teachers and
professionals in touch with nature. He is the Founder
Trustee of a voluntary organisation, Conservation
Trust. |

Ms. Kiran Islania, (M.A, DBM)
General Manager
She holds a Masters degree in English Literature and
Diploma in Business Administration. After a short
stint with the Bombay University’s Academic Staff
College, was drawn towards the field of environment
and education. Kiran has undergone intensive training
in Environment Education in Israel and conducted
environment camps for more than 30,000 students and
teachers from all over India. She has also been
trained in Switzerland, France & Spain for Adventure
Programmes for youth. She also led groups to Kailash
Mansarovar besides leading Trailblazers students
skiing groups and other international programmes. Extremely good with children,
she loves travel and adventure and has a flair for
painting and poetry. |

Ms. Rashmi Sharma, (B.Sc.)
Chief Manager
She has graduated in Chemistry first class from Mumbai
University and has keen interest in environment
education. Rashmi has also led our skiing groups to
Switzerland and Adventure camps to France and Spain,
is extremely good with children. Very meticulous and
organized in whatever she does, she loves the
outdoors, is fun loving and you will always find her
chirpy! Fond of singing, bird watching, she also
dabbles at writing poetry. She has conducted
programmes for more than 20,000 students and teachers. |

Mr. Rahul Chauhan, (M.Sc)
Manager - Environment Programme
Rahul, an avid snake expert is a Post graduate from
University of Mumbai specializing in Oceanography.
Besides being recognised by Maharashtra Forest
Department as Snake Rescue expert, he is deeply
involved in studying the mangrove forest and loves
photography. He is most comfortable in the forest
environs and if you are with him on a trail, you will
be ensured with invaluable information on the flora
and fauna. Rahul has published 2 papers on Mangroves
and flora and fauna in Science Journals. He loves
interacting with children and enjoys travelling. |

A.S. Meena( MSc.) Education Programme Officer
Meena is a dynamic multifaceted individual, and has
a commitment to make "A positive difference". She
has her masters in Zoology and a certificate of
specialist diploma in Applied Psychology besides a
certified First aider in St John Ambulance
association from Singapore. She has represented
Kerala in NCC, and has extensive field Biology
research experience. She has written papers in
various scientific journals on Human embryonic stem
cell and molecular biology techniques. Prior to
Trailblazers, she was working as a field biologist
in Singapore with a multitude of International
schools’ field trips from Europe and South East
Asia. |

Cylena Yeptho ( BCom., MBA)
Environment Education Executive
Cylena joins Trailblazers from Nagaland adding
immense value to Trailblazers programmes with
children. After graduating from Madurai Kamraj
University she completed her MBA and forest
environment Management from MIT College of
Management-Pune, completing with distinction, she is
soft spoken and dynamic. She has also conducted a
special project on Community reserve at Sendenyu
village wildlife conservation for the Nagaland
Forest department. |

Rochelle Lobo ( BSc, P.G.D in Environment Science)
Rochelle has done her Post Graduate Diploma in
Environment Science from University of Canterbury
(New Zealand) after completing her
B.SC in
Zoology from University of Mumbai. She is
multi-faceted and has a wide range of interests.
Besides her passion for environment and
conservation, she loves dancing and has done her
certificate course in Classical Bharatnatyam. She
also enjoys interacting with people, traveling,
playing guitar. Ambitious, fun-loving and
cheerful she loves the outdoors and is the new
addition to the Trailblazers dynamic team. |
