Depending on the length of the camp, typical options, will include a visit to Lausanne and its popular Olympic museum as well as a guided tour of the beautiful lakeside 13 th century Chateau de Chillon. Other excursions include a visit to Gruyere, with a demonstration of how its world famous cheese is made as well as visits to fashionable Crans-Montana, Zermatt, Lucerne and Switzerland's premier water park, Aqualand depending on the programme option.

TRAILBLAZERS staff are professional, enthusiastic and caring. All our counselors are at least 21 years of age, are carefully selected and vetted and are highly experienced skiers and snowboarders. Chosen for their personality and energy, our counselors take care of the children from wake-up to "lights out" and unlike at many ski and snowboard camps, they ski or snowboard with the children throughout the day as well as organize an exciting programme of evening activities. Creating this true camp environment enables us to carefully monitor every child, working closely with those progressing more slowly, while challenging those whose skills are developing more rapidly.

We understand the unique requirements of our international clientele and ensure all the meals we serve are popular, healthy and plentiful. Vegetarian alternatives are served at every meal and provided we have notice before a child's arrival, special diets can always be accommodated. Portions are generous to reflect the day's physical activities and there is never a limit to how much food is offered and children may return for another serving as many times as they like.

To allow parents to follow their child's progress, an online photo gallery is maintained throughout camp. Every day, a selection of photos from the chalet, the mountain, on excursions and during evening activities will be posted to the gallery for parents to browse and download. In addition, the gallery offers an incoming e-mail service for parents to keep in contact with their child.
