DSB International School is proud to be associated with TRAILBLAZERS. Our association goes back over four years during which they have organized for us a variety of residential trips with programmes designed specifically to our requirements.

They have gone to a lot of trouble to understand our needs, our priorities and ethos of the school. They have chosen hotels that, while not exorbitant, were clean, safe, obliging and which provided nutritious and tasty meals, basically Indian but adapted to western taste.

We have been impressed by the commitment and training of the instructors, their flexibility, their enthusiasm, their depth of knowledge and their relationship with the children. Through them our pupils have had a wealth of experiences, visiting places we would never have discovered ourselves, while at the same time showing, and teaching, a sensitivity to the local environment and people, they have seen that the pupils got hands-on experience at every opportunity, and lead sessions in a diversity of contexts e.g. meditation and astronomy.

If you want your children to have good teaching and learning experiences, delivered by providers who know their subject, then I have no hesitation in recommending TRAILBLAZERS and their team of organizers and instructors.

Dear Ranjan Sir,

This is with reference to the tour to Karnala by our students of Std. V, on 20 th September 2003, with 'TRAILBLAZERS'.

The members of 'TRAILBLAZERS' provided excellent information to students about the small-scale industries which they visited and helped students to practically see and experience what they had till now been reading in books alone.

I and my staff members are very thankful to 'TRAILBLAZERS' for conducting such a wonderful educational trip for our students and to the members and team of 'TRAILBLAZERS' who take keen interest in helping the child to widen his horizons and we look forward to many more fruitful trips with you.

Yours truly

Archana Taxali, Principal - Thakur Vidya Mandir, Kandivli, Mumbai

We at TRAILBLAZERS are in a constant endeavor to improve upon our programmes and have participant feedback system in every camp to ensure that the suggestions and comments are worked upon in the future camps and make our camps more student friendly. Following are the suggestions and comments given by students & teachers from various camps on the different aspects of the camps.

The programme was very nice. It was a great experience and made me feel really close to nature. Instructors were SUPERB!! Best of the best ! awesome!

Programme - Do not lose your human touch. Systematically done with just the right amount of professionalism and with usage of both simple and scientific terms. Instructors were Energetic disciplined, warm, loving, generous and an endless source of information. Camp was a learning experience - one me and my students will always cherish. I enjoyed every bit, every moment.

Ms. Judith Jacqueline Pinhivro( teacher)- Mary Immaculate, November 2004,Karnala

Programmes were interesting, taught us team work. Canyoning was the best and the slide show taught us a lot. The instructors were really friendly. They were strict when they were supposed to be, but made us have a great time.

Yes it was a learning experience and will be remembered by all of us.

Yes! I enjoyed very much

Jyothi Dhagat (participant)- Mallya Aditi International School, Bangalore,19-24 January 2004, Dandeli Bison Sanctuary

All the programmes were Good Stuff. Could have done more trekking and adventure sports, and cut out on debate and other educational activites ( I know it is an objective but I prefer only adventure!)

Definitely this was a learning experience, but I would like avoiding the school - like teaching and would want to go into more of outdoor, practical, adventure education! Looking forward to something like this again!

Tito (Chirag) (participant)- Mallya Aditi International School,19-24 January 2004, Dandeli Bison Sanctuary

Programme was very well organisd. Everything that we did was from time to time. Instructors were fun to stay with and were also very funny. The village that we went to was very nice. Living a very hard life they learn how to co-operate and live in peace. Yes! This was a learning experience for me and I enjoyed a lot too. No complaints about anything and no suggestions. You all are the best organizers!!

Vineeta Kalapi (participant)- St. Anne's School, Fort, Mumbai, 7-8 February 2004, Camp Barvi

Programme was very interesting, we had a good variety of activities and visits and good opportunities to learn about nature, environment, village + tribal life.

Instructors - both are very friendly, caring always on duty, active and inventive. Sometimes they could go on a bit quicker with the programme. Was this a learning experience, we learned specially much about the village life and small scale, industries. The bird sanctuary was very interesting, I would have loved to get more information on the birds.

I enjoyed every movement!

Mrs. H. Brodzmeyer (teacher) -DSB International School, 24-27 February 2004, Karnala - Karjat

This camp should not be for 2 days but for 1 month

Yogesh V. Kamalia (participant)- O.L.P.S. School, 24-25 August 2004, Badlapur

Dear Ranjan,

Let me take this opportunity to wish you & all at Trailblazers a very happy new year.

Its been just 2 months that I've known you all but seems since much longer than that. The reason being the constant interaction between us.

Aman still comes up with the stories of his adventures at Viamonde, which only tells how much he enjoyed the Ski camp. This was one exhilarating experience for him & I believe all credit goes to the excellent tour organised by you at Viamonde. He has had a wonderful time with all the councellors or instructors, however you may call them. Not to forget the great friend he found in Kiran, who was not only warm, but also did her best as a leader of the tour. I am proud of your team.

I very much appreciate the was the tour was conducted. The handling of money to taking care of personal belongings, it was done with utmost care. What more can any parent ask for!

I also appreciate Kiran to keep us posted with the progress report of the children, it was personally written to all I believe & that really is
appreciated. Her efforts to get back to all of us with the progress of our children is really great, considering her busy schedule there.

I also appreciated the pictures posted on the site, though, of course, I could not see all the pictures as some never opened in about 2 pages & then of course, more pictures would have been a treat to us. I guess you could have arranged some more pictures to be posted from the places they visited. But nonetheless, we feasted on whatever was served to us & savoured every bit.

Thank you for everything & I will definately look forward to other tour in Dec. Do convey our regards to Kiran & all others who were so kind & cooperative at your office anytime we called.

Thanks once again.

p.s. We look forward to the CD you are going to send us, which has recorded
the precious moments of the Ski Camp.

With warm regards,

Suketu & Heena. (Parents of Aman Majithia, participant of TRAILBLAZERS Ski camp, Switzerland December 2003)
