Immerse into a magical experience by listening to jungle’s fascinating sounds, hear the alarm calls of animals when they sense a nearby predator, get thrilled when you spot animal pugmarks, if lucky spot the Royal Bengal tiger, discover the vast grasslands and diverse flora,  watch herds of Indian elephants pass by, and get treated to the delightful sights of golden jackal, sambar deer and variety of birds. Itinerary

DAY 1 - Arrive at the campsite near Ramnagar, Uttarakhand by evening. Approximate distance from Delhi is 264 Km, Dehradun city is 230 Km and Pantnagar airport is 92 km. Check in and rest for a while. Introductions, ice breaker activities and orientation. Dinner.

 

DAY 2 - After pre-dawn wake up, pick up your binoculars, cameras and other gear for your first wildlife safari. Head out to the pristine forests to watch animals and other flora. Better your spotting chances by learning some tips. Dawn and dusk tend to be the most active time for animals and birds. Explore tracks and signs, know habitats, see the birds, immerse yourself into the beautiful animal kingdom. Head back to the campsite/resort for a late breakfast. Over lunch, share your wildlife spotting experiences with others. Relax for a bit before heading out to Jim Corbett museum. Do shopping before returning to the campsite/resort, refresh yourself with hot tea or coffee and be ready for action-packed games. Dinner and lights out.

 

DAY 3 - Wake up and participate in a meditation session. Do a short nature walk. Post breakfast, move into the adventure zone by participating in some thrilling adventure activities. Lunch and visit Garjia temple which is perched atop a huge rock situated next to Kosi river. Upon return, collaborate with your group to create an artwork and get competitive with some exciting DIY challenges. Dinner and lights out.

 

DAY 4 - Get ready for the day with some warmups, stretching and meditation. Breakfast and participate in fun activities and challenges- Scavenger hunt, jungle themed games and several more. Post lunch, prepare to see more of the region’s mammals and reptiles through our second wildlife safari. Watch animals lounging in the shade of trees, understand the sheltering habits of various animal species, hope to get lucky to spot a tiger, watch out for telltale signs of droppings, nests or pugmarks. Know more about the park’s ecological characteristics, its grasslands, forested areas and much more. Return to the campsite/resort. Enjoy campfire with sing-alongs and lots of fun. Dinner and lights out.

 

DAY 5 - Post breakfast, closure ceremony with group photographs. Check out of the resort.

Travel: Travel from home to the campsite/resort and back. Travel is excluded from the price as a part of Covid 19 safety measure. We can extend car rental support through our partners for participants who require it.

Insurance: Accident Insurance is for the programme duration. Participants may opt for travel insurance separately.

Certificate: Every child participant will get a certificate upon completion of the programme

 

What To Pack

What to pack for the camp?

1-Aadhar card or any other valid identification card issued by Government of India. For foreign nationals, they need to carry their passport.

2-Sunscreen, mosquito repellent, cap/hat and sunglasses

3-Personal medication (if any)

4-Camera- DSLR or semi-professional(at least 30x or above recommended) with additional batteries and storage cards. Lens cleaning cloth.

5-Binoculars- Recommended at least 12x50 

6-Earthy and dull coloured (examples- Brown, military green, brick red, warm gray, white long) sleeve t-shirts, comfortable pants, utility jacket, scarf, flat shoes, refillable water bottles. Avoid bright colours since tends to agitate animals when they see it. 

7-Personal hand sanitizer and face mask.

 

GENERAL SAFETY:

  • Safety instructions: We follow extensive Standard Operating Procedures for all our programmes. Participants are requested to follow the safety instructions given by the organising team at regular intervals during the programme. 
  • Medical history: Participants are required to share their medical details and recent travel history during the registration process. This will help our team to make necessary preparations.   
  • Safety Policy: There is a Child Protection Policy and a Participant Safety Policy in place to ensure all participants are safe during the programme
  • First Aid Kit: A full-fledged first aid kit is always available during the programme. Participants are requested to carry their personal medications.
  • Team: The team running our programmes is first aid certified, trained, qualified, experienced and come from diverse educational backgrounds. They ensure your safety while exuding enthusiasm and commitment to deliver a fun travel experience to you.    
  • Periodic reconnaissance and risk assessments: We conduct reconnaissance of our sites and carry out risk assessments periodically.
  • Medical assistance: Nearest medical centres are informed about group arrivals. 

 

 

COVID 19 RELATED SAFETY:

  • Participants will have to follow mandatory social distancing, wear face mask during the day, use hand sanitizers at frequent intervals during the programme. 
  • Every participant will be screened daily to check their body temperatures, oxygen levels and pulse rate which will remain documented in our records. 
  • If a participant falls sick, then he/she will be kept under isolation until further medical procedures. 
  • We urge people in high-risk category (Age 65 years and above and those with chronic diseases) to avoid participating in the programme.
  • Participants need to follow respective State Government guidelines regarding Covid 19.
  • We urge participants to self-monitor for any symptoms after they arrive at the campsite/resort and report it to the Trailblazers team.
  • The campsites and hotels are chosen based on their compliance to Covid-19 safety guidelines laid down by the state administration.
  • If any participant contracts Covid-19 within 15 days of completing the programme, then he/she must inform us immediately. This is necessary for us to do contact tracing and take further action. 
  • Organising team will be screened before departing for the programme.

 

Please note: 

Trailblazers cannot be held responsible for accidents arising due to usage of facilities like spa, swimming and any other at the resort/campsite or due to any deviation from the itinerary voluntarily undertaken by the participant during the travel programme. 

 

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY:

 

We genuinely understand your concern when you need to cancel a travel programme booked with Trailblazers due to ill health or any other emergency. In case of cancellations for reasons whatsoever including any natural calamity, the following cancellation and refund policies would apply. This policy is effective from 1 December 2020.

 

For travel programmes of 3 days and above:

When cancellation is done:

90-60 days before start of the travel programme: 90 % will be electronically refunded or opt for a travel programme voucher for 100% of the travel programme amount. This voucher will be valid for 365 days from the date of opting. 

59-30 days before start of the travel programme: 50 % will be electronically refunded or opt for a travel programme voucher for 60% of the travel programme amount. This voucher will be valid for 365 days from the date of opting.

29 -16 days before start of the travel programme: 25 % will be electronically refunded or opt for a travel programme voucher for 30% of the travel programme amount. This voucher will be valid for 365 days from the date of opting.

15 -0 days before start of the travel programme: No refund.

Please note, transportation cancellation/refund is based on the specific rule of the partner organisation. Refund will be calculated on travel programme price excluding transport and applicable taxes.

 

For travel programmes of 2-3 days:

When cancellation is done:

30-16 days before start of the travel programme-80 % will be electronically refunded or opt for a travel programme voucher for 90% of the travel programme amount. This voucher will be valid for 365 days from the date of opting

15 -0 days before departure- No refund.

For travel programmes of 1 day:

There will be no refund.

If the programme is cancelled by Trailblazers, participants can opt to carry forward their registration to the next trek or request a full refund.

 

PROCEDURE FOR AVAILING REFUND:

a) Email from participant addressed to Trailblazers with details of name, payment and programme name sent to contact@trailblazersindia.com. The date of the email will be considered as the cancellation date and refunds will be calculated accordingly.

c) Applicable refunds shall be initiated through bank transfer within 07 days (excluding public & bank holidays) after receipt of the cancellation email

 

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How to reach the resort? 

You need to drive to Ramnagar, Uttarakhand from where the resort is situated just 10 km away. We will share further details with the registered participants a month before the camp begins.

 

2. Nearest airport and the train station?

Pantnagar is the closest airport located about 95 km from our campsite/resort but it has limited flight connectivity. The distance from the well-connected Delhi’s IGI airport is around 280 km and Dehradun’s Jolly Grant airport is nearly 240 km.  

The nearest train station is Ramnagar and has train services running to and from Delhi.

 

3. What type of food will be served?

We have made provisions to serve you wholesome tasty vegetarian and non-vegetarian food based on your requirement. Jain food will be available upon request. To let us prepare well in advance, kindly mention your dietary requirements (if any) in the registration form.

 

4. How will the dietary requirements and food allergies be taken care?

We urge participants to mention them while filling up the online registration form. Our team will work to make the necessary arrangements.

 

5. Duration of the camp?

The camp is spread across 4 nights and 5 days.

 

6. What would be the expected weather?

Summer temperatures range from 18 degrees to 35 degrees C. 

 

7. Are the participants required to get Covid 19 tested before the camp?

This is not mandatory. However, participants may wish to voluntarily get tested before joining the camp. Please do check for new updates about the same.

 

8. Who are permitted to participate in Wildlife Activity Holidays- Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand?

Anybody with good fitness and from across all age groups can participate in this camp.

 

9. How will the activities be managed across different age groups?

Most of the activities are suitable to all age groups. However, we also have a range of age specific activities- especially for children and senior citizen. Wildlife safaris will be conducted in groups.

 

10. What should be the packing list?

11. Stay facilities?

All our stay facilities are planned keeping comfort and safety of the participants. We have carefully selected places of accommodation who are Covid-19 safety compliant and follow safety procedures. Participants will stay in luxurious comfortable rooms with ensuite facilities based on occupancy chosen.

 

12. How will the room sharing be organised?

Prices are based on twin and triple occupancy. A maximum of three occupants will be allowed to stay in a room where the third occupant will be provided a comfortable mattress. In case the numbers exceed three, then they will be allotted another room. 

 

13. How do we travel to the resort?

Participants will have to arrange their own transportation to the resort. We recommend you opt for self-drive and will be glad to assist you for car rentals through our trusted partners. Our team will assist you with directions and route map.

 

14. What are the arrival and departure times?

You can check-in any time after 4 PM on Day 1 and check out after breakfast on Day 5.

 

15. Can senior citizens participate?

Certainly, they can participate in most of our activities. We will try to engage them as much as possible.

 

16. How will the children be kept engaged?

Our activities are designed in such a way that everybody can participate and enjoy. At times, if the children need to be separately engaged then we have other fun challenges and games exclusively designed for them.

 

17. How do we prepare for wildlife safari?
